  • What is a streak?

So, what is a streak. I would say it is:

Consecutive accomplishments with a never ending expectation of it ever ceasing.

For me, this epitomizes and could be considered the fundamental core of legalistic, fire and brimstone, anecdotal, Pavlovian teaching in the western church. For about three years, I attended a 12-step program that was Christ-centered. In the end, I was not better for it until I left the “program”. The program or teaching mixed the bible with 12-steps to sobriety. The steps are awesome, but what ended up happening for me is it became an ultra-level of legalism. You would get a physical award for days, months or years of sobriety. Biblically, our rewards are spiritual. The physical reward was a chip denoted the duration of sobriety. From the outside looking in it appears normal or right. I think for some this type of program is needed. My experience could be considered a spiritual stunt in growth and or a regression.

The principle of it all is to not break that streak. Stay sober. Understood. Makes sense. Forgiveness, mercy and love are there waiting also if you regressed. Seems okay once again, but what the subtle dynamic in it is the streak. You see people walk up and get a five year chip and you’re on day one. As I’ve said so many times 2 Peter 3:18,

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ..

In Christ, I am already dead to the “streak”. Paul told the Galatians if you keep one part of the law you must keep all of it. Romans 6 & 7 say we are dead to the law by the body of Christ. This means we are to not keep the law. We are under a new covenant put into effect by the blood of Christ. So, do not keep the law. Instead, live by revelation based on the primer of sound doctrine. The zōe life of revelation diffuses into your being. Hebrews 11:3, says,

    “Through faith we understand…”

This spiritual understanding permeates your being even your soul. It regenerates it perpetually with an inherent dynamo power with is the resurrecting power of God. With this power, we are new, unprecedented, extraordinary, uncommon, novel creations in Christ.

Hopefully, with that brief share I was able to convey a contrast between a religious streak to be kept versus a new unparalleled spiritual life.

Another way of saying it possibly could be the effect of a streak is:

An unseen exponential pressure employed by a compound list of accomplishments.

The pressure increases exponentially each time unless grace is there then no streak should matter. There is a rest that Hebrews promises us. If I am at rest then I quit trying. I am at rest then I am that I am by the grace of God. I am at rest because I am not trying to be the new creature. A new creature in Christ is unaware of the streak, but more aware of Phil. 3:14,

I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Reading this now in context of what I have shared should sound much different. He presses on not keeping a streak. The goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. All in all, he is saying what he told Peter in 2 Pet. 3:18 with the active action in present tense of “pressing on”. A doer compelled by grace regardless of natural circumstance.

  • Conscience Bearing Witness

Rom 9:1 KJV, “I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost…”

Paul here is referring to a purged conscience mentioned in the letter to the Hebrews. A defiled conscience is not able to have a “witness” within because it has co-knowledge of the guilt, judgment and penalty of the law even self-imposed law.

This is a fundamental component regarding sound or hygienic (Greek) doctrine. A primer is needed. The conscience will bear witness to that primer.

  • Do I know what I have?

    John 11:43,

And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

I was pondering about the believer having understanding by faith, Heb. 11:3, and thought of times the Lord spoke (His faith) and was reminded of when He spoke to Lazarus. Then it dawned on me, “How would be able to do have power to resurrect Lazarus from the dead? He had not resurrected Himself yet?” Then I realized He said in John 11:25 He said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

Okay, whoopty doo. Well, I saw this and that is He knew who He was and He knew He was the resurrection. In the “knowing” of this He gave this to Lazarus.

2 Cor. 8:12, “For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.”

Ephesians & Romans speaks of the His will coming by revelation. Jesus said He does the will of the Father; of the One who sent Him. He had revelation of the Father’s will in Him that He IS the resurrection and life meaning we partake of that same revelation through Christ in us. His will diffuses  and permeates our being in the knowledge of Him. This spiritual process creates His spiritual essence within us, renewed daily inwardly, Christ in us. The will of the Father was that Lazarus not stay dead. The revelation of His will gives purpose, motive and intent.

The gift given to Lazarus was ‘acceptable’ because it was according (diffused in the Greek) to what Christ has according to grace and revelation of God’s will and purpose in His sent Son.

We can only have what we know we have received. We can only give what we know we have to give. If I do not know who I am in Christ then I have very little to give because I do not know. I do not have if I do not know what I have. I cannot give what I do not know I have.

If I had unknowingly a billions dollars in bank in the Cayman’s how I could I use it? I wouldn’t because I didn’t know it was there. Then even if I did know it was there I would still need understanding how to partake of the funds.

I will also have authority if I have knowledge of my authority. Even authority over death.

  • New Encounter

Today, I was in line waiting in my car at Chick-fil-a. As I’m waiting I hear clearly in my spirit, “I love you.” Then understanding came. By the hearing of faith my soul has understanding. And these words resonated like liquid love within me. I knew Jesus Himself said that. It brought me calmness and peace. I can’t recall when that happened. I am in awe that the Creator does this. There is no one like Him.

  • Reality Does not Exist if….

It proves that measurement is everything. At the quantum level, reality does not exist if you are not looking at it,” lead researcher and physicist Andrew Truscott said in a press release.

This says what I see goes to my mind or heart. Then I’m aware. Then it is a reality to me in my sphere of consciousness. Speaking of a purged conscience I can also have knowledge that I am not aware of what I thought was real or aware that what I thought had power no longer has power (sin) because I am more aware of something else that has more power. Therefore, it is my reality. So, perhaps, quantumn mechanics is expressing this dynamic. The energy of faith produces this reality in me and through. He said the Kingdom of God is within you. The energy of faith is from another dimension which actually may very well be the reality spoken of.

  • Better Fruit than HEB

    Phil. 1:9-11
I cannot bear His fruit without grace. Grace comes by revelation. Verse 9 he says abound in knowledge (that they have learned through their experience) by revelation and experience or experience and revelation.

Verse 7. Even before that the Philippians are partakers of Paul’s grace in Christ as well as doctrine.

  • Natural Believer

    1 Cor. 2
A believer can be natural and saved and meaning saved but no spiritual understanding. Likely, due to unsound doctrine, lack of revelation, hardened heart.

  • Word for Panda Nation

    Thanks Seth.

Dude. I see God working here and his Spirit is overwhelming me to say this to you: Don’t stop. Satan HATES what you are doing. But God is using all the life you’ve been through to create fruit that will feed people’s hearts. Dude, you are like a warrior who walked the shadow of the valley of death and now God is redeeming and using all of that. I can’t explain how awesome this is. I see it man and God is working. Please, whatever you do, don’t stop because this is YOU with God through you and no one else can do it like you can. I love you brother.

  • Blepo – Greek for Intuition?

    May 9th, 2015

Col. 2:5. I saw DeeDee when I was in prayer. I was there with her with angels. Two big ones.

    https://www.preceptaustin.org/2corinthians_418_commentary.htm#s

    TDNT says that like horao

blepo also means “to see” with a stronger emphasis on the function of the eye, so that it serves as the opposite of “to be blind.” It can also be used for intellectual or spiritual perception, and in the absolute for insight…. (another word for seeing is) theáomai suggests spectators and denotes attentive seeing, i.e., “to behold.” Having a certain solemnity, it is used for visionary seeing and the apprehension of higher realities…

(Blepo) first denotes ability to see as distinct from blindness (Mt 12:22; 15:31; Mk 8:23-24; Lk. 7:21; Jn. 9). Seeing the book in Rev. 5:3, 4 includes reading. Scrutiny is implied in Mt. 22:16. God’s seeing in Mt. 6:4 is a secret one. Jesus sees the Father’s works in Jn. 5:19 (cf. Jn 8:38). Angels see the face of God in Mt 18:10. Empirical seeing is the point in Ro 8:24, 25; 2Co 4:18; He 11:1ff. Figuratively blepo can mean “to note,” “to perceive” (Ro 7:23; Col 2:5). (Kittel, G., Friedrich, G., & Bromiley, G. W. Theological Dictionary of the New Testament. Eerdmans or Wordsearch)

    Vine adds that blepo means

“to look,” see, usually implying more especially an intent, earnest contemplation. Blepo is also used of (a) bodily and (b) mental vision, (i.) “to perceive,” e.g., Mt. 13:13; (ii.) “to take heed,”

Blepo It especially stresses the thought of the person who sees.

Blepo primarily, “to have sight, to see,” then, “observe, discern, perceive,” frequently implying special contemplation, is rendered by the verb “to look” in Luke 9:62 (Vine, W E: Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words. 1996. Nelson or Wordsearch)

  • Pinhole Revelation

Light enters in the pinhole. The image created by the light is inverted on the inside of the camera. Revelation comes and dynamically creates what was seen from the unseen.
